Soave's Castle 'Castello di Soave'

 After that romantic date, if you know you know, it's time to save your princess as you are now a knight in a shining armour, with your trusty sword, and shield you make your way to Soave's castle, or as you would say it in Italian 'il castello di Soave'. 

You are about to go and you realise, that you have no idea where this castle is, and that's where I come in and help, the Castle is roughly 33km from the city centre, so you'll need a ride, not a horse, but a car with a navigator just to switch things up a bit, and so you won't get lost. Insert the address 'Via Castello Scagliero', enter the postcode '37038', and you are set to go to save your princess, or if you want to flip it wait for your knight in shining armour.


And we have arrived after at our castle, the dragon is not in today so the job was quite easy, but now you decide to learn more about the castle and it's history. And it goes like this, Soave Castle has witnessed various battles and changes in ownership. It played a significant role in the medieval conflicts between the Veronese and Paduan city-states. In the 14th century, the Scaligeri family, who ruled over Verona, took control of the castle and expanded its fortifications. Over time, Soave Castle underwent numerous architectural changes and renovations. It is known for its well-preserved medieval walls, drawbridges, and defensive towers. The castle also boasts an impressive inner courtyard and a robust gatehouse.


The Castle is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 - 12:00 and 15:00 - !8:00 Summer time, and 9:00 - 12:00, then 14:00 - 16:00 Winter time for a fee of 7 per person, Castle is NOT opened on Mondays.
